Dave's Pick of the Week - Broccoli
My pick this week is broccoli. We have supplies coming from Victoria, Queensland and the Riverina and as a result the market price has halved from 1 week ago.
The quality is excellent and the price very attractive. It is good to have a staple vegetable like this one back within everyone’s budget.
We as retailers hate seeing the incredibly high prices we have been subjected to over the last month.
HOW TO PICK
Look for broccoli with bright green heads and compact clusters of the broccoli florets. Avoid broccoli that appears to have woody stems or those with yellow florets.
