Dave's Market Update - 15.01.20

IN FRUIT:
It’s a very good week with berries this week, all are well priced and very good quality blackberries especially have fallen in price and are eating fantastically.  With topless pines, the really sweet fruit is at its best also, well priced and eating superbly. Limes continue to ease in price and are increasingly a better option than imported lemons. The stonefruit is excellent this week and Golden Queen peaches are now in full swing. Apples and pears are nearing the end end of their season and new crop apples are just around the corner.

IN VEG:
Little change in the vegetable category this week. There continues to be a lot of snacking tomatoes. This week, we have cherry truss tomatoes on special at a very attractive price, if you have not tried them please do, they are great eating. Cucumbers continue to be great value and the pre-pack snow peas are still cheap and good. This week we have 2kg packets of Kestrel potatoes at a bargain price, they are far better value than any of the other potatoes!
