Papaya smoothie bowl recipe

This papaya smoothie bowl tastes just like you’re in the tropics. It's the perfect way to kick off your day.


  • 1 cup frozen red papaya
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon coconut butter (or almond butter)
  • 1 tablespoon honey

To serve:

  • 1 red papaya
  • 1/2 banana, sliced
  • Handful of blueberries
  • 1/3 cup granola
  • 2 tablespoons shaved coconut


  1. Add all the smoothie bowl ingredients into a blender and blend until the mixture is smooth and the consistency is thick. Add a little dash more of the coconut milk if the mixture is too thick for your blender. Stop blending half way through the process and scrape down the inside of the blender with a spatula, do this a few times throughout the blending process if needed.
  2. Slice the serving papaya in half and scrape out the seeds plus a little extra to allow the smoothie to fit. Pour the smoothie into the cut papaya halves.
  3. Serve with the banana slices arranged around the edge, sprinkle over the granola, coconut and blueberries.
