Chipotle & Maple Roasted Dutch Carrots

Cooking time: 20 - 25 mins 

Serves: 4 


  • 2 Bunch Dutch Carrots 
  • ¼ cup Chipotle & Maple Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds  
  • Salt and pepper 
  • Olive Oil  
  • Micro Herbs (Optional) 


  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. 
  2. Cut off the stems of the carrots leaving just 1 inch of it attached. 
  3. Wash the carrots and pat dry them. Cut them in half lengthways. 
  4. Place the carrots on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Add 2 Tbsp of water. Drizzle with olive oil, drizzle with the Chipotle Maple sauce, season with salt and pepper and toss well. 
  5. Place in the oven and roast for 20 - 25 mins until softened and golden brown. 
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle with the toasted sesame seeds.  
  7. Serve hot or warm. 

Chef's tips:

  • Serve roasted Dutch Carrots as a side dish with your favourite roast. 
  • Toast the sesame seeds in the oven or in a frying pan for few minutes until golden. 
  • Garnish with micro herbs or serve with salad leaves if desired.
