The region is a cool climate region, with most of the vineyards being planted throughout the 1990’s. The vineyards are located between 250 to 350 metres in altitude and the vines are planted in historic volcanic soils, rich in ironstone and ideal for producing powerful, medium bodied dry reds.

Tasting Note

Medium bodied, with initial fragrant ripe cherry notes. Some spice integrated with bright acidity and a juicy round mid-palate. The finish is long and interweaved with notes of dried herbs.
