Veg Fruit

Veg  fruit are good for us. In fact, we need at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables each day. In order to obtain vitamins, minerals as well as fibre, we should consume an assortment of fruits and vegetables.

Vitamins and Minerals

Fruits and vegetables differ in colours as well as the vitamins and minerals that they contain. This is why, it is very important to vary the veg fruit that we eat. For instance, bananas are a good source of potassium, while carrots are rich in vitamin A and oranges contain Vitamin C. By eating green leafy vegetables, you can acquire Vitamin B2 and iron.  It is also great to eat fruits and vegetables which are in season.

Eat Enough Amount

In order to keep your body healthy and fit, you should consume a sufficient amount of veg fruit. Nutritionists recommend 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily. If you will not include fruits and vegetables in your daily diet then most likely you will suffer from diseases and gain weight, hence your immune system will become weak.

Different Ways of Consuming Veg Fruit

One of the easiest and quickest ways of consuming more fruits and vegetables is to make a juice or a smoothie. You can also try adding chopped fruits into your breakfast cereal or eat fruits during snacks. You can try different varieties each day so that you won’t get bored. Prepare vegetable soup, for example a leek soup or a fruit and vegetable salad If you do not have time to buy your fresh fruits and vegetable from your local markets then you can order them online at Harris Farm Markets.  You can buy Dutch Cream potatoes (1kg bag), corn (3-4 piece pre-pack), cherries (min 500g) plus many more.
