Poached Kanzi Apples
With pancakes or muesli, ice cream or yoghurt, or even the simplest of brekkies - spiced poached Kanzi® apples are the way to go. They're wholesome, warming and deliciously healthy.
Prep/cook time: 30 – 35 minutes
INGREDIENTS

4-5 medium Kanzi® apples peeled, cored and sliced into wedges

Juice of 1 lemon

Juice of ½ orange
-
3 tbsp of honey (maple syrup also works well)

1 tsp cinnamon powder

½ tsp ground clove

1 tsp vanilla essence
METHOD
- Combine all ingredients except your Kanzi® apples, in a large deep pot over medium heat. Stir to combine.
- Once the mixture starts to simmer, place the Kanzi® apples in and stir to coat all sides. Place a lid on slightly ajar, turn the heat down slightly and allow the apples to simmer for 15 minutes or until they become soft and are starting to become transparent.
- Take the pot off the heat to cool down, then transfer to a container and place in the fridge for when you need them, or serve straight away while hot for a dessert.
