Current Charity - Gunawirra

Gunawirra is a community-led organisation that works in close partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families, children, and communities to help them reach their full potential. Its focus is on delivering programs that build capacity, confidence, healing, resilience, and self-reliance - programs that are initiated by and grounded in the voices of the communities they serve. These practical, grassroots initiatives support healing through culture and aim to improve health and educational outcomes. 

Gunawirra was formed in 2008 in a karawee karawee, a gathering of concerned people at the Grail Centre in North Sydney.
