Apple and Mixed Berry Amaretti Crumble

Apples and berries are a unbeatable combination served up as a homemade hot dessert with ice cream. Make sure you make more than enough so you can get a second spoonful.
Apple and Mixed Berry Amaretti Crumble
Ingredients
- 6 mixed apples (granny smith and pink lady)
- 300g frozen or fresh mixed berries
- 1 -2 tbn sugar
- 50g unsalted butter, coarsely chopped
- 75g plain flour
- 60g rolled oats
- 90g amaretti biscuits, coarsely crushed
- 55g brown sugar
Method

Preheat oven to 180C.

Peel, core and dice apples

Combine apples, berries and sugar in a baking dish and set aside.

In a bowl, rub butter into flour with your fingertips to form fine crumbs. Stir in oats, amaretti and brown sugar, mix well, spread in an even layer on the fruit.

Bake until golden (20-25 minutes).

Cool slightly and serve with vanilla ice cream.
