Dave's Market Update & Pick of the Week - Premium White Seedless Grapes - 20 March 2024
Dave's Market Update
In Veg
“We have two fantastic bargains in the world of vegetables this week. Firstly, cauliflowers at around half last week’s price and top quality to boot. Secondly, although snacking tomatoes are at the end of their season, we have secured a quantity of Medley mix tomatoes which we will sell at a price that would normally only be seen in mid-summer at the peak of their season.
Brushed potatoes have eased this week and there are plenty of Basil and radish available.
In Fruit
Undoubtedly, the loose white seedless Autumn Crisp grapes are our most sensational fruit line that we have. We are pushing chestnuts very hard this week, looks like a great season on the way.
Avocados continue to be cheap with the new season Shepards underway. My recommendation is that for taste and flavour, stick with the old season Hass and Reeds for a while yet. There are a few more drinking coconuts around this week.
Fig quality is improving now the blistering heat has subsided and they are very well priced. Custard apples though still expensive are arriving at the markets.
New season apples are really good, my pick this week would be the Kanzi variety.”

Dave's Pick of the Week
“My pick this week are the absolutely stunning Autumn Crisp loose white seedless grapes from the Robinvale area.
The lesser fruit is in our bagged fruit, same variety from nearly the same area but nowhere the same quality and size. Do yourself and your family a favour, fill a bag with this magnificent fruit. I doubt you will regret paying the extra!” - David Harris
