It is quite an obscure week we have ahead of us, beef prices continue to rise meaning it is getting really difficult to buy the sort of product we want, and it is probably only going to get harder through October. It’s not ideal, but that is the current challenge we face. With that said, we will have a beef mince tray on special this week as we are so restricted in what other options there are.
For lamb, we have an extremely cheap final go on the Spring Lamb Hind Shanks. We also have a very aggressive special on a boned and netted pork shoulder. These can feed the family for days, and work really well as sandwich meat the days after you bake it for dinner.
For chicken, it’s all about the thigh this week. The long weekend that has passed represents the commencement of summer and longer day light, in my world, that means BBQ is front of mind, and the best boneless fillet on the BBQ is definitely the thigh. So many options, it’s just crazy how numerous different things you can do with the thigh.
In terms of the bacon and smalls category, we will have the Jamon Iberico which is awesome with melon and fresh light flavours.
