Mini Melon Organic Each

Melons are at their best in summer from December through February when warm growing conditions push the sugar content to its peak. That is the time to buy them.

Look for melons that feel heavy for their size, have a golden netting pattern over the skin, and a strong sweet fragrance at the stem end. A slight give when pressed at the top indicates ripeness. Avoid very hard melons with no fragrance.

Halve, scoop the seeds, and eat fresh with a squeeze of lime, cube into a fruit salad, or wrap with prosciutto for a simple starter.
