Antoniou Chilled Fillo Pastry
For over 60 years, the Antoniou family have perfected the art of creating paper-thin, deliciously flaky, ready to bake Fillo Pastry. Antoniou chilled Fillo Pastry is a versatile Pastry to have on hand in the refrigerator, with many culinary applications. It is suitable for cooking delicious sweet and savoury recipes and can be moulded into many shapes and forms. It is traditionally used for creating recipes such as Spanakopita and Baklava, and is also perfect for creating pies, tarts, galettes, Fillo parcels, Fillo triangles, Fillo spirals, Fillo rolls, cakes and desserts.
Take your packet of Fillo Pastry out of the refrigerator, still in its packaging, and allow it to come up to room temperature, approximately 2 hours before using. When your Fillo Pastry is at room temperature, it should feel soft, pliable and ready to use.
Have all other ingredients prepared before you take your Fillo Pastry out of its packaging.
While working with your Fillo Pastry, cover with a dry tea towel to prevent the Pastry from drying out.
Keep refrigerated (not suitable for freezing).
Any leftover Fillo Pastry can be rolled up and sealed tightly back in its plastic bag, and stored in the refrigerator for later use.
