Chocolate Strawberries
INGREDIENTS
- 2 x punnets of strawberries
- 150g chocolate (roughly chopped or broken up into small pieces)
METHOD
- Fill up a medium or small sized pot halfway with water. Bring to the boil. Place a heatproof bowl over the top of the pot, making sure the water doesn’t actually touch the base of the bowl. Place all the chocolate into the heatproof bowl and use a spatula to mix it and swirl it around as the chocolate slowly melts. You may need to adjust the heat by reducing it if it’s too strong and you find the water boiling. The steam will reach the base of the bowl and melt the chocolate from the other side. Continue stirring the chocolate until it’s completely melted through.
- Remove the bowl with melted chocolate from the pot and set aside. Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate and place onto a plate, serving platter, or baking paper. You may like to serve the chocolate coated strawberries straight away or place in the fridge until the chocolate has solidified (this will take 20 minutes in the fridge).
Notes:
- Use any chocolate that you like - dark, milk or white.
