Our Regen Partner: Land to Market

Verifying consumer confidence: buy into future-proof farming.

The momentum of producers and farmers powers Land to Market Australia (L2MA). We're a worldwide membership of people who practice measurable land Regen. Our unique initiative is a world-first; a verification body with a co-op of members. Australia-wide, farmers look to verify the integrity of their soils within 12 months.

A pivotal Harris Farm Regen partner, L2MA facilitates the in-store representation of verified farms. We also connect Harris Farm to the cream of the crop Regen producers and growers in Australia.

Our Executive Chair is Tony Hill. With exhaustive governance and project management experience, Tony runs Capital Hill Consulting. Along with his wife, Jane Keany, he also runs Illalangi Farm at Mt Fairy; using Regen principles to build biodiversity and soil fertility.

Indigenous Australians have been custodians of our land for millennia. Future-focussed farmers have been land-carers for generations, but their holistic methods remain unquantified. All knowledge and know-how, with no way to speak to regulators and market partners.

We translate these holistic farming benefits into consumer-facing language. Restaurateurs, consumers, regulators and producers demand a verified sourcing supply chain. L2MA offers a way to substantiate produce and the power to prioritise land health and farmer welfare.

Consumers want to know the origin of their produce and its environmental and community impression. From small towns to big cities, purchasers expect a value-aligned food system.

We launched a program in 2018 to address this holistic demand and create a collective grasp of Regen agriculture. Enter our Ecological Outcome Verification (EOV) and our EOV seal. It’s a transparent sourcing verification that measures soil health, biodiversity and ecosystems.

Using our method, farmers collect data to assess their soil, water and environmental management. It's also a tool to meet a new generation of aware consumers in their request to buy traceable food that’s withstood scrutiny.

Being producer-driven, we're building a community. We strengthen relationships between market partners, farmers and consumers with aligned values. We also assist members with training, mentoring and verified branding. Long-term, we're fostering a broad investment in the potential Regen agriculture offers. Verified land ensures more resilience when the rains come.

Alan Savory's holistic management is a stalwart of Regen. As an accredited member of the Savory Global Network, L2MA works to advance the Regen of the world's degraded grasslands. Using global hubs, Savory gives farmers the tools and training to champion their land.

The Savory Network informs policy, connects with the market and grows consumer awareness. They influence the management of 1 billion hectares of grassland and fortify food, water and security.

In 2019, we awarded our first-ever EOV certificate to Mulloon Creek Natural Farms (MCNF). A guiding light in Regen farming, MCNF works with The Mulloon Institute (TMI) to validate ecological goals. Using our verification, TMI helps consumers support future-proof agricultural practices.
