In Fruit

"

Imperial mandarins are now at their best, fantastic eating and fantastic value. The imperfect line of this fruit is well worth a look too. Red seedless grapes are the best value in grapes though we will have some very good eating later varieties of white grapes in the stores by the weekend.

The Shepard avocados are far better to eat than the Hass at this stage, so we'll continue with the Shepard variety for a bit longer. Pink Lady apples are now in full swing and a reasonable price.

The new season Kiwi Gold is eating superbly and great value. Bananas continue to be inexpensive, and we have a very good line of imperfect pomegranates in store, and lemons are cheap so all in all bargains galore in fruit. This weekend our NSW stores will have red hot berry special in all stores."

In Veg

"Plenty of good options in vegetables this week. Celery, caulies, imperfect kumera, and washed potatoes are all great quality and inexpensive. Baby cukes, broccoli and beans are also good value. The standout for the week in veg is perhaps the green Shanghai Buk Choy. Veg looks like it will be cheap for a while."
