In Fruit
Blueberries continue to be my go-to option yet I am also enjoying some good imperfect mangoes on my lunchtime salad. Raspberries are well priced and good eating but are just not keeping that well. This week, the real bargain of the week in fruit is seedless watermelon - they are very good eating and starting to fall in price, there will be good specials in these as the week goes on.
In Veg
A lot of our traditional spring veggies are underway now. Great quality and great prices in stores this week with rhubarb, Lebanese cucumbers, and asparagus leading the pack. Also, well priced are tomatoes and truss tomatoes, broccoli, and capsicums. There is more ginger and garlic available now in the markets - both of these will be inexpensive going forward.
