Dave's Market Update - 19 April 2023

In Veg

Some very good value options at Harris Farm this week. We are seeing increased quantities of corn, Lebanese cucumbers and garlic that will lead to prices easing by the weekend. All our stores have bargain price special on top quality coriander. This week, broccoli looks to be a better value option than broccolini, and shallots are easing in price.

In Fruit

It’s back to school next week so we are offering some good lines for that lunchbox. We have two stand out value options in all stores; bananas, always a favourite, and lunchbox Gala apples which are always popular, not too big and very inexpensive. Imperial mandarins are fast falling in price, and the imperfect fruit in this line is good eating and good value.

Other lines in fruit include grapes, raspberries, figs, Flavour Fall plums, and avocados. Blueberries which are always difficult in April will improve every week now as we are starting our new season fruit from far north Qld - our premium Mountain Blue brand is better eating and a better keeping fruit.
