Mango Imperfect Each is the same golden, sweet tropical fruit with a minor cosmetic mark or irregular shape that makes no difference whatsoever once it's sliced. Full mango flavour at a better price.

Look for a mango that gives gently under pressure with a fragrant, sweet smell near the stem. Imperfect mangoes vary in variety but ripen and eat identically to full-grade fruit. Ripen at room temperature and refrigerate once ready.

Slice the cheeks and score into cubes, blend into a smoothie or lassi, dice into a salsa for grilled fish, or eat straight from the cheek.
