CHÂTEAU DE LA RAGOTIÈRE, OLD VINES SELECTION
MUSCADET SÈVRE ET MAINE SUR LIE
The former family seat of the Loré de la Ragotière family, the Château (14th century) and the thirty hectare estate were bought by the Couillaud brothers in 1979. This soil of schist and micaschist produces late-maturing and well-structured wines, particularly good for keeping.
Tasting Notes :
Broad, round and rich, this wine holds its freshness close to its core. The vines are between 40 to 60 years old and find firm footing in mica schist soils that give rise to fruit that is focused, persistent and clean. A bit of bottle age brings amplified expression and targeted concentration
