Matis Halva Vanilla 400g

Halva is a dense, crumbly sweet made from tahini (ground sesame paste) and sugar, with roots across the Middle East, Greece and the Balkans. The texture is unlike anything else, somewhere between fudge and nougat but drier and distinctly sesame. Matis is one of Greece's most trusted halva producers, made to a traditional recipe that has changed little in generations.

This vanilla variety has a gentle sweetness without being cloying, with aromatic vanilla rounding out the sesame depth without masking it. Crumble over yoghurt or ice cream, serve with fruit and honey as a dessert, slice for a cheese board, or eat as a snack with coffee.

Imported from Greece and stocked year-round at Harris Farm. A 400g block goes a long way, and halva stores well in a cool, dry place for weeks once opened.
