Neighbourhood Goodness at Harris Farm

Our Way to Give Back to the Communities We Call Home

Rooted in Harris Farm’s long-standing tradition of generosity, the Neighbourhood Goodness program was officially introduced in December 2024 and since then has been growing to spread the goodness around the communities that we call home.

🌟 Here’s a Bit of What We’ve Been Up To

Active Lifestyles

Healthy & Active Lifestyles

From grassroots sports to fun runs and cycle challenges, we supported over 60 local sports clubs and organisations last financial year to promote health and encourage movement among all ages.

Community Support

Community Uplift

We help build strong communities through initiatives that foster inclusivity and empowerment, especially for disadvantaged groups. We've provided in-kind support to over 130 local charities and public schools in the last financial year.

Food Donation

Food Security

No one should go hungry! We partner with local food charities such as OzHarvest, OneMeal and others, donating over 353,854kg of food and more than $130,000 in food to community organisations—including $25,000 worth of fruit and veg to schools.

Celebrating Culture

Celebrating Culture

Diversity is at the heart of our communities. We’ve supported more than 35 events—from school fairs and theatre to writers’ festivals and circus shows—that honour culture, heritage and unity.

GoGenerosity Partnership

Thanks to our customers’ kindness and our partnership with GoGenerosity, we’ve been able to support a different charity every month including a diverse range of amazing causes—empowering and supporting Aboriginal and LGBTIQA+ communities, people experiencing homelessness, women and children affected by domestic violence, veterans, and young mothers doing it tough.

For every dollar donated by you, we’ve matched it to double the impact. Here are the stats to date for this partnership, which our customers are part of:

📍 Local Stories of Goodness

Redfern Jarjum

Redfern Jarjum College

Since opening our Redfern store, we've proudly donated food to nourish the students at Jarjum College—an Aboriginal school providing essential meals and education support to kids. The school serves breakfast, lunch and two snacks every day—and we've helped nourish that journey through the Neighbourhood Goodness program.

Drummoyne School

Public School Support

We provide ongoing support to local public schools by donating fresh fruit and pantry items for kids’ breakfast clubs. We also contribute to school fetes and fundraising initiatives that benefit students, helping raise funds for playgrounds, equipment, and other essential resources.

Addi Road

Supporting Addi Road in Marrickville

With the opening of our newest store, we’ve partnered with Addison Road Community Organisation to provide fresh fruit weekly to fuel their food relief programs. Based in Marrickville since 1976, Addi Road is a multicultural hub offering practical support and advocacy to some of Sydney’s most vulnerable communities—especially during this cost-of-living crisis.

Hills Wildlife Sanctuary

Caring for Wildlife in Dural

With our store opening in Dural, we partnered with Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a local organisation that rescues and rehabilitates injured and orphaned native animals. We donate surplus produce from the store to help feed the animals and reduce waste, and through Neighbourhood Goodness, we’ve also donated a new cool room to help the sanctuary store food safely and efficiently.

HOPE Mother’s Day

HOPE

This Mother’s Day, we partnered with HOPE to help women aged up to 25 who are pregnant or have a child under five to thrive. For every bouquet sold from a selected range during Mother’s Day week, $10 was donated—$5 from our customers and $5 matched by us. HOPE is also a long-term partner through our GoGenerosity initiative.
