Pineapple is at its best in the warmer months from November through March. Look for cut pieces with golden, firm flesh and no browning at the edges.
Eat it as a snack straight from the pack, cube into a fruit salad, grill for 30 seconds each side for a quick dessert, or blend into a smoothie. Store in the fridge and eat within a day or two.
