Mango Palmer Each is a large, fleshy mango variety with minimal fibre, smooth golden flesh and a rich, sweet flavour that's less acidic than some other varieties. A reliably satisfying mango for those who love generous, clean eating fruit.
Look for a mango that gives slightly under gentle pressure and has a sweet, fragrant smell near the stem. Palmer is available through summer and is best ripened at room temperature. Once ripe, refrigerate and eat within a day or two.
Slice alongside the seed and scoop out the cheeks, blend into a smoothie or lassi, dice into a mango salsa for fish or chicken, or serve with sticky rice and coconut cream.
