Look for fruit that gives slightly under pressure and has a sweet, fragrant smell. Gold kiwifruit ripens quickly at room temperature. Once ripe, refrigerate and eat within a few days.
Halve and scoop with a teaspoon, slice over yoghurt or a fruit platter, add to a pavlova for a sweeter flavour, or blend into a tropical smoothie.
