Fennel Each

Fennel Each is a versatile, anise-flavoured bulb vegetable with crisp white flesh, feathery fronds and a clean, aromatic character that softens and sweetens dramatically when cooked. Every part is usable.

Look for firm, white bulbs with fresh, bright green fronds and no browning. Fennel is available year-round and keeps in the fridge crisper for up to a week. The fronds work as a herb and the stalks can flavour stocks and braises.

Shave raw into a salad with orange and olives, braise slowly until meltingly tender, roast in wedges alongside fish or chicken, or use the fronds as a garnish on seafood dishes.
