Pick of the Week - Snackables Carrots
Harvest Moon have been growing vegetables since the early 80’s. They've mastered their growing techniques over many years, trialing many different varieties and methods. The cool climate and rich red soils of Tassie’s beautiful north-west coast help them produce delicious products. Using years of knowledge and expertise of carrot farming in Tasmania, the Harvest Moon team started trialing carrot varieties to find the best baby carrot that they could grow. Eventually, they found it, and now have exclusive commercial rights to this variety in Australia. Unlike most ‘baby vegetables’ that are harvested before reaching full potential, Snackables are a true baby carrot, meaning they have an early maturity, leading to super sweet and crunchy carrots, perfect for snacking.
The Harris family are great believers in the quality of all the products we get from Harvest Moon. These Snackable carrots are yet another example of their dedication to growing fantastic product, they are perfect for kids’ lunch boxes and Cathy and I enjoy them on the two hour drive to our farm. They are indeed a very delicious and healthy option for us which is unfortunately not available in most roadside stops. The 250gm size of the pack is great value too.
