Pick of the Week - Blueberries
July is when new season blueberries come into their own. They arrive in large quantities just as QLD strawberries also reach their peak. So late July and early August are probably the best few weeks of the year for both quality and price of berries. Not so many raspberries and very few, if any blackberries are available, but the blues and strawberries are superb. Look for great specials in our stores over the coming weeks
HOW TO PICK
Look for firm, plump berries.
HOW TO STORE
To store, place in a single layer on a plate lined with paper towel. Cover with plastic wrap and store in the fridge for up to five days.
