Dave's Pick of the Week - Green Beans
Green beans are my pick of the week. There are two fantastic windows for quality beans each year. In January and early February, we get our beans from the Bairnsdale region in Victoria, and later in the year, from May to June, from Gympie in Queensland. This year, the Victorian crop has had enormous damage from rain, but a break in the weather has allowed the harvest of some great quality stock, this week. There are two completely separate bean markets in our industry. Traditional, hand picked beans are our choice; and they are by far the superior quality bean. This week all our stores will have fantastic quality hand picked beans, at around half last weeks price!
