Most weeks, the traditional white and far more common varieties of mushrooms, are thirty odd percent cheaper than the Browns. This isn't the case this week. We have the unusual situation where Swiss Browns and Portobello mushies are way cheaper than whites. Swiss Browns and Portobello's are the same mushroom; a Swiss Brown grows into a Portobello if they are harvested a couple of days later. I believe the brown varieties we have on special this week are more flavoursome than the whites, and are my first choice of mushrooms every time!
