IN FRUIT:
It's hard to talk about much beyond those delicious new season KP Northern Territory mangoes in the fruit category this week. On my cereal, in my salad or just to snack on - they are fantastic. Try our mango cheeks for a mess free convenient way to use mangoes. Plump delicious blueberries are still plentiful, I cant emphasise enough what good value our premium blues are, a little more money for a really superior product. Papaya is at it's best also right now and very attractively priced and will only get better over the next few weeks. The avocado quality is excellent and there are bargains to be had with Imperfect lemons
IN VEG:
Our farmers are enjoying one of the most perfect growing seasons all over the country. Plenty of water but not too much and lots of sunshine makes life easy. Tomatoes are a bargain with the quality and price aligning to make them just superb. In addition, we are now starting to see good quantities of snacking tomatoes as well. Truss are very reasonable and the quality of the Imperfect gourmet tomatoes is outstanding. Dutch carrots, cauliflowers, iceberg lettuce and rhubarb are all fantastic and inexpensive. The spring crop of asparagus is at its best and celery, beans and all cucumbers are really good. A few more mushrooms on offer should open the door for some great specials on the weekend.
