Dave's Market Update - 29.09.21
In fruit: A fantastic week coming up for high quality, great eating and reasonably priced Kensington Pride mangoes from the Northern Territory; the taste is fantastic. At this time of the year, there isn’t another mango anywhere near as good. Berries are also very much in focus this week, with raspberry prices back again and blueberries continuing to be extremely cheap; though as I said last week, you really should consider paying more money to purchase our premium blueberries! Limes have started to ease and all citrus remain reasonably priced and great eating.
In veg: Veg has not been as plentiful as it has in the last few weeks. All of our NSW stores do have a very good line of red washed potatoes, at a very attractive price. Spinach and Imperfect eggplant are both cheaper than they have been. Artichokes, all cucumbers and Iceberg lettuce are still inexpensive and great quality. It seems as though there are more mushrooms available and you will see great specials over the next few weeks!
