Dave's Market Update - 21 September 2022
In Fruit
It’s full on again this week with berries. Blacks are not plentiful however the rest are fantastic quality, we are selling them at very reasonable prices. Raspberries are well supplied and eating very well, strawberries are just a week past their absolute best however are still fantastic value. A bit of rain which looks quite likely up on the sunshine coast will finish this current flush rather quickly.
Blueberries are truly magnificent. I think spending a dollar or two extra for the premium brand is money very well spent. I now think it's time to start with mangoes, I am buying imperfects (after all you don’t eat the skin), they are really great value and a welcome change. Pears, apples, and the best navel oranges of the year round off this week's fabulous fruit offer.

Good news on the tomato front! All tomatoes are cheaper this week, and we will have specials in every shop on one of our many snacking tomatoes. As well as tomatoes, imperfects and truss are all cheaper than last week.
Aussie asparagus is plentiful as is corn, capsicums and imported garlic. With kale, broccoli and broccolini, kale is cheaper this week and we are now very close to back to normal with vegetable prices.
