IN FRUIT
As mentioned in my pick of the week, raspberries are the berry of choice. With prices nearly half of what they were a few weeks ago, it’s a great opportunity to stock up and treat yourself. Strawberries continue to be well supplied and priced to suit. Blueberries on the other hand are not after the rain of last week slowed down picking, but with the fine days ahead I’m sure this will turn around as the week progresses. KP mangoes out of the Northern Territory is the other well supplied treat this week. With volumes ramping up and a good offer to be had in our imperfect range and our tray sale offer, be sure to add them to the list. All melons are in good supply as are topless pineapples, I certainly feel that a big bowl of fruit salad will have a place in the fridge this week.

IN VEGIES
As we welcomed rain across parts of the country last week which met with milder days this week, you’re bound to find great quality produce in our stores at more than reasonable prices. Australian asparagus continues to be a hit across all our stores and corn is abundant this week again. Broccolini and cauliflowers supplied out of both Queensland and Victoria will welcome a price drop as the week progresses. All herbs, silverbeet and English spinach are looking fantastic. Zucchini across both our imperfect and premium offer is priced to please. Dutch carrots, broccoli and gourmet tomatoes should also make their way into your basket. Spring is here and with the fine weather continuing the produce will only become better and more abundant.
