Standing With Bondi: How We’re Continuing to Support the Community

When something happens close to home, it’s felt by all of us. In the weeks since the Bondi incident, we’ve been focused on supporting the local community in practical ways, alongside the organisations doing vital work on the ground.

Shortly after the incident, Harris Farm’s team members from different departments and stores came together to pack 60 emergency hampers filled with fresh food. These were delivered to Our Big Kitchen in Bondi, a remarkable community organisation that prepares and distributes meals to people in need across Sydney. Operating from a large volunteer-run kitchen, Our Big Kitchen partners with charities and community groups to support individuals and families facing hardship. They have since distributed these hampers directly to people impacted by the Bondi incident.

This effort forms part of our Greater Goodness commitment, our long-standing focus on supporting our local communities, especially in times of need.

We’ve also supported Abraham’s Tent with a $5,000 gift card, to help them continue providing practical support to people in hospitals and their families. Additionally, proceeds from all flower sales during the week following the incident have been directed to The Unite for Bondi - Bondi Terror Attack Appeal, further extending support to the survivors and families of those who lost their lives. Over $25,000 was raised thanks to our kind customers.

We are deeply grateful to our teams who acted swiftly and collaboratively, and to our community partners who continue their vital work every day.

At Harris Farm Markets, we remain committed to standing alongside our communities, especially during challenging moments. Our thoughts continue to be with everyone impacted, and we will keep finding ways to support Bondi and the broader community.
