Every May, Neighbourhood Goodness partners with HOPE, an initiative of CatholicCare Sydney, to support young women aged up to 25 who are pregnant or parenting. It’s a partnership grounded in practical care, dignity and community, helping young mums and families access the support they need to build a safer, more stable future.
Through pregnancy guidance, parenting support, pathways to housing, education and employment, HOPE walks alongside young families during some of life’s most challenging moments. Their work is not just about immediate assistance; it’s about creating long-term opportunities and restoring confidence for young women navigating parenthood often without strong support networks.
At Neighbourhood Goodness, we believe local communities have the power to create meaningful change, and our partnership with HOPE is one of the ways we put that belief into action.
Throughout May, HOPE is featured as our GoGenerosity partner across participating stores, giving customers the opportunity to support their work directly while shopping locally. During the Mother’s Day weekend, we also display donation posters in stores, allowing customers to contribute easily via QR code and help fund essential services for young mothers and babies.
Beyond in-store fundraising, we proudly support HOPE through fundraising initiatives. It’s a partnership that reflects a shared commitment to care, compassion and practical support for vulnerable families in our communities.
For many young women, becoming a parent can come with uncertainty, isolation and financial pressure. HOPE provides not only practical help, but also encouragement, connection and pathways forward, helping young families move toward stability with confidence and support behind them.
