Supporting our neighbourhoods isn’t something we talk about a few times a year. It’s something we try to weave into everyday life, right down to the areas where we have our stores. One way we’ve found to support the charities we partner with is by providing everything they need to run a sausage sizzle and fundraise.
We kicked things off with One Meal at Harris Farm Manly, where their team fired up the BBQ and served locals while raising money to support the vital meal services they provide across the community. It’s a simple idea with a big impact: we supply the space, a marquee, the BBQ grill, sausages, bread, onions, the foot traffic and the opportunity, and our charity partners bring their volunteers and their purpose.
This initiative is part of our broader commitment to spreading Neighbourhood Goodness, supporting groups that work tirelessly in areas like food relief, community uplift and local wellbeing. Over the coming months, we’ll be inviting more of our partner charities to host sausage sizzles in our stores, helping them fundraise while connecting with the community face-to-face.
It’s a small way to help these organisations continue the essential work they do, and a chance for our customers to grab a bite and back a cause at the same time. Each BBQ adds a little more goodness to the neighbourhood, and we’re just getting started.
