All around us we are hearing of prices rising on beef and lamb, and there is pressure all round the livestock industry. However in spite of this we could well have the strongest week we have had this year. I am really pumped about the product mix we can bring to you this week at such great prices.
To start, lamb hind shanks. They need no introduction, and the winter weather makes it the perfect time to enjoy a hind shank. A few people have recently asked how we seem to be one of the few people in the market with the hind shank. Well it’s quite simple, the USA takes massive volumes of boned and rolled lamb legs, meaning the hind shank needs to go somewhere. So when an enormous parcel pops up a business like this can take it and move it with confidence. If it didn’t come to us, generally it would head into food service or frozen for further processing. Either way, the stock is fresh, off good sized trade lambs, all from mid west and northern NSW.
The second major line of the week is the ever popular pork fillet. These are sensational value, and work out about half the price of the major supermarkets. This makes them exceptional value, but more importantly, we are delivering a top quality product that will eat very well.
The sideline act this week on any other week would be seen as the keynotes, but it’s just one of those weeks. Premium Angus Beef Mince packs from the South Coast of NSW are at a very hot price.
Fresh chicken breast coupled with the San Daniele Prosciutto make the perfect ingredients for a very tasty quick cook roast and are at a great price.
