Suzy Spoons - Festive Roast - Vegetable Butcher

This beautiful festive roast is the perfect centerpiece for any occasion . It is a delicious roulade of seitan, nuts, cranberries and traditional herbs with a delicious flavoured crunchy outer layer.

Perfect with roast veggies, gravy and yorkshire pudding.

When cooked it will expand in size to approx 20cm x 35cm. This is to be taken as a rough guide only. Because each roast is made by hand the shape of each roast may vary slightly but the weight of each roast is the same.

INGREDIENTS: Tofu, gluten flour, rice, onion, water, bread crumbs, mushrooms, plain flour, olive oil, dried cranberries, walnuts, soy sauce, yeast flakes, garlic, miso, parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, salt, black pepper, sesame oil.

STORING: store in fridge if you are going to eat with in a week of receiving the Roast, otherwise freezing it would be recommended until you are ready to eat. 

THAWING: If frozen, place in fridge to thaw overnight is best or you can thaw in microwave. If still frozen when you are placing in oven put foil over baking dish at 180 °C. This is so the top doesn't burn too quickly and then cook until heated all the way through. 

This Roast is not delivered hot. Cooking instructions are below.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

Best cooked gently in non stick fry pan with oil on medium heat until piping hot all the way through.  Brown well before turning. Cook until crispy all over. Can be gently barbecued.

INGREDIENTS:

Preheat oven to 180 °C. Cut plastic wrap off Roast, Place in oven dish or tray and bake for approx 40 mins or until heated all the way through. Poke a skewer through Roast to make sure it's heated all the way through. Serve with your favourite trimmings, roast vegetables, gravy, salads or cranberry sauce.
