Kale

Kale is the new super food of today. You may have heard of all the nutritional benefits that they have, as well as what you can benefit from. Kale is high in Vitamins and Minerals and will deliver those all important nutrients that we need for optimum health.

No matter which way you cook or eat Kale you will always get that great tasting flavour. You can use kale in a variety of cooking methods. Here are a few just to get you started on eating this new super food.

  • You can roast Kale (using your favourite Herbs & Spices) and at the end of have delicious tasting kalae chips. Better than the MSG loaded potato crisps that we see.
  • You can steam or boil it.
  • Blend it in smoothies

Kale Smoothies

Here are a couple of kale recipes that can kick start your day.

 2 cups kale,

1/2 a pineapple,

1 cup coconut water,

and a garnish of coconut flakes and goji berries. 

 

1 small Banana

1/2 cup frozen kale,

1/2 cup nonfat Greek yogurt,

1/4 cup skim milk,

2 tablespoons unsweetened apple sauce,

1 1/2 tablespoons chia seeds,

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon,

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, 

1 cup crushed ice.
