I would not normally pick a product twice in six weeks, but the supply of cup mushrooms, the superb quality and retail price are so fantastic that I am making an exception this time. I don’t think we have sold at these prices for around 15 years or so. After a couple years of high prices the wheel has turned and we have a true glut of mushrooms this week. As I said six weeks ago this will continue until we get some hot weather which may even be coming this weekend. The cups are the snow white mushrooms that have just opened up around the stem. It’s a long weekend this weekend, the footy finals are on and for not much money you could grab a 4kg box of these delicious mushrooms and cook them on the barby and add them to the accompanying salads at a price that we have not seen for years, and probably won’t see again for some time.
HOW TO PICK
