Pick of the Week - Kiwi Fruit
With a beautiful emerald-green flesh and edible black seeds, kiwi fruit are deliciously refreshing and are a great snack food.Kiwi fruit don't just taste and look great they are fantastic for digestive health. Kiwi’s aid against excess acidity in your diet. Their furry brown skin should be firm but give a little when lightly pressed. Avoid any fruit that is bruised, soft or has wrinkled skin.
HOW TO STOREKiwi fruits can be left to ripen for a few days to a week at room temperature, away from exposure to sunlight or heat. Placing the fruits in a paper bag with an apple, banana or pear will help to speed their ripening process. Ripe kiwifruits can be stored either at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
