At last we are seeing avocados
ease in price especially the smaller sized fruit. We are seeing a couple of not so common lines ease in price. Kiwi
gold is a sweeter more expensive fruit than the common green varieties and these are on special in some of our shops and cheaper in all shops then they were last week. We have blood oranges at very good prices in all our stores and a special on imported white seedless grapes in all stores. This is the best month for imported grapes
The first touch of spring and a lot of good rain is helping supply of all our vegetables, especially bunch lines from the Sydney basin which are set to increase dramatically. Iceberg lettuce
is back to prices we have not seen for months. We have a fantastic special on Nicola potatoes
this week, known for their low GI rating they are fantastic versatile potatoes. Our bunch lines are all starting to ease in price and a few warm days over the coming weeks will see prices decline dramatically. A very old fashioned vegetable, the common choko is really oversupplied in the markets this week and there is a dramatic reduction in price happening this week. Historically choko vines were commonly grown as decoration for the good old outbackouthouseI assure you our choko supplies are not of this breed. Broccoli
also is very well supplied.
